Arles
The largest municipality in France, this antique and Romanesque
city has a unique architectural heritage. Arles is the French city
with the largest number of Roman monuments after Rome. It has seven
monuments on UNESCO's World heritage list (the antique theater,
the bullring, the baths of Constantine, St. Trophism church, the
Alyscamps...)
Avignon
From the Avignon bridge or rather the Saint Bénézet
bridge, reach the Palais des Papes by way of the Place de l'Horloge
and its many café terraces.
The Palais, a Gothic masterpiece, is impressive both by its size
and historical value. In July, the theater festival make Avignon
the world's most important stage.
Uzès
The seat of the first duchy of France whose rich feudal heritage
is perfectly preserved, the city of Uzès offers very enjoyable
visits from the Tour Fenestrelle to the Place aux Herbes and its
“couverts”. In Anduze, a micro climate has allowed the
development of the Bambouseraie, a park planted with an extraordinary
collection of bamboo varieties from all parts of the planet.
Le Pont du Gard
An illustration of the perfection of Roman architecture combining
beauty and technical prowess, the Pont du Gard is the most spectacular
element of the Nîmes aqueduct.
